Solon Schools Art Show Goes Virtual
This year's exhibit features voice recordings of students discussing the strain of the pandemic and how it inspired their art.
SOLON, OH — The annual Solon High School and Solon Middle School Art Show is now open virtually.
The show features work from Solon students. Each piece was created during the past year.
“The students have worked very hard this year creating and learning in ways we never thought possible,” said Solon High School art teacher Jen Thompson.

Thompson asked students to express, through a voice recording, how they feel about art and how it has helped them through the COVID-19 pandemic. Those expressions were integrated into the 2021 virtual art show.
Thompson said she was inspired by the quote, "Science will get us out of this, but art will get us through this."
