Solon Schools Closed Friday Due To Ice Storm

SOLON, OH — The Solon Schools are closed Friday due to the winter storm.

Multiple inches of snow fell Thursday night and Friday morning and a thick glaze of ice coated surfaces, making the trip to school hazardous. The district cited "snowy and icy" conditions for the closure.

Road conditions are a "mess," according to the National Weather Service. Plow trucks are doing their best to salt streets and clear snow, but anyone who must venture out should drive slowly and give plows plenty of space.
