• Man in high-speed chase in car stolen from Franklin gets 3 years (daytondailynews.com) — A man involved in a high-speed chase that ended in a crash on Lower Springboro Road near Springboro Cemetery has been sentenced to three years in prison and lifetime license suspension. The pursuit began after cars were stolen from Franklin’s Adesa Auto Auction and concluded when Springboro officers ultimately apprehended the two suspects near the crash site. 
• Girls basketball: Thornton's 21 points helps lift Fairmont past Springboro (daytondailynews.com) — Springboro’s girls basketball team dropped a tight 52-46 home game to Fairmont, despite strong scoring from Leah Wilhite and McKenzie Jones. Fairmont’s Kaylah Thornton returned from an early injury scare to score 21 points and hit key late free throws, keeping Springboro from ever fully erasing the deficit in this Greater Western Ohio Conference showdown.
