STRONGSVILLE, OH — The annual "Greet & Treat" donation drive raised more than $2,300 in food and monetary donations for the Strongsville Food Bank.

The event is run by the Strongsville Schools and was held last week at Pat Catan Stadium. The collected donations will aid approximately 175 families in Strongsville, according to the food bank's director, Kelly Kling.

“A HUGE thank you from The Strongsville Food Bank to everyone who donated food and cash at “Greet & Treat” for helping those in need! We truly appreciate and love this amazing community! You never stop giving or caring about others and that is really remarkable. Together we can make a difference in someone's life and I am so grateful to be a part of this generous community," Kling said in a statement.

“We love being there to help the community and also have a chance to see our students outside of the bus! Thank you to everyone who came and donated to help those in need. We couldn’t have done this without the help of all of those that attended,” said Jill Bush, bus driver for Strongsville City Schools.
