5 Events Coming Up This Week in the Cleveland Metroparks

Everything from family canoe paddles to biking to kayaking is offered this week

1. Voyageur Canoe Evening Paddles — Friday, July 26 at 6, 7:30 and 9 p.m. at Hinckley Lake. The history-based event celebrates the fur trade of the 1700s by taking guest out on a 34-foot canoe. Click here for details.

2. Cedar Valley Square Dance — Friday, July 26 at the Frostville Museum in the Rocky River Reservation.

3. Tour de Emerald Necklace — Saturday, July 27, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A 30-mile bike ride in the Mill Stream Run Reservation.

4. Mountain Bike Lessons for Women — Sunday, July 28, 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., at the Royalview Picnic Shelter in Strongsville, Mill Stream Run Reservation.

5. Introduction to Kayaking — Thursday, Aug. 1, 6-9 p.m. at the Hinckley Reservation. Open to anyone 14 and older (with a participating adult). Cost is $40.
