1. Rec Center to close soon — Don't forget - the Ehrnfelt Recreation and Senior Center will be closed Aug. 26-28 for annual maintenance.
2. School starts — Classes begin Tuesday, Aug. 20 for students in grades 1-9 and Wednesday, Aug. 21 for grades 10-12. First day of school for preschoolers and kindergartners is Aug. 26.
3. Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over — Strongsville police are participating in the nationwide program.
4. Book discussion — Ever think about joining a book club? The Wednesday discussion group at the Strongsville Library is always looking for new members. This week, they'll discuss their favorite books from this summer. It starts at 7 p.m.
5. Farmers Market — The popular produce stand is back at the Communication Center parking lot, 13213 Pearl Rd., from 2-6 p.m. on Thursdays.
