
1. Last City Council meeting before recess — Council will have a special meeting at 5 p.m. Monday, July 29, its last session before a month-long summer break.
2. Auditions — If you've ever wanted a role in a local play, now's your chance. There are lots of parts, big and small, singing and non-singing, speaking and non-speaking, available for Strongsville Community Theatre's production of Bye Bye Birdie. Auditions continue Monday, July 29 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center, 18100 Royalton Rd.
3. School Board — The Strongsville Board of Education will have a work session at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1 at the School Administration Building, 13200 Pearl Rd.
4. Brain Building — An expert from Kemper House will be at the Strongsville Library from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1 to talk about how to maximize your memory fitness and challenge your mind with new activities.Â
5. Salute to snakes — The Cleveland Metroparks will host a bunch of snake-related activities at the Rocky River Nature Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturay, Aug. 3.Â
