5 Things To Know This Week

Here's a rundown of what's ahead in Strongsville

1. Meet Funky -- Register to attend the Friends of the Strongsville Library's annual meeting and author visit, which this year will be Tom Batiuk, creator of the Funky Winkerbean and Crankshaft comic strips.

2. Dive-In Movie -- Watch a family film from an inner tube or lawn Friday night at Ledge Pool in the Cleveland Metroparks Hinckley Reservation.

3. Cleveland street history -- Local author Alan Dutka will speak at the Strongsville Library Thursday, July 25 about East 4th Street and Short Vincent Avenue.

4. Police in neighborhoods -- The Strongsville Police Department will continue its summertime patrol, with officers in cars and on foot in the Strongsville's subdivisions at night.  

5. Audition for musical -- Strongsville Community Theatre will hold auditions for Bye Bye Birdie on Sunday, July 28 and Monday, July 29 at the Ehrnfelt Rec Center. Lots of speaking, non-speaking, singing and dancing roles are up for grabs.
