- The Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department will be paying back wages to corrections officers. The wages are due to the officers after they were allegedly forced to work their lunches last summer. The department is required to pay the back wages as part of a recent settlement agreement. The wages total nearly $75,000 and include 537 officers. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
- Omnisun Azali, the son of a Cuyahoga County judge, has been charged with murdering his wife, Mwaka Azali. On Tuesday, Azali's defense attorney told jurors that he shot the woman as she reached for a pistol she had previously fired inside the home three times. Azali's mother is Judge Cassandra Collier-Williams. (Subscription: Cleveland.com)
- Some Cuyahoga County residents lost power on Wednesday morning. The outages were the result of strong wind gusts blowing through the county. The winds reached 40 miles per hour and knocked some utility poles down. Nearly a thousand county residents were impacted. (Fox 8)
