  1. Bed Bath & Beyond will be closing its store on Royalton Road in Strongsville. The announcement adds another store closure to the growing list from the retailer, which includes closures in Huber Heights, Cincinnati, Hamilton, Perrysburg, and Sandusky. Last week, the realtor warned that it may be close to filing for bankruptcy. (WJW FOX 8 News Cleveland)
  2. The Strongsville City Council has approved four new tax increment financing (TIF) agreements. The new agreements, which are for new retail and industrial construction projects around town, will use property tax from the new developments toward future city infrastructure projects. The city currently has 35 TIFs in place, including four that were recently approved. (cleveland.com)
  3. The Cuyahoga County Council is considering using $300,000 from COVID-19 stimulus money to fund the African American Cultural Garden Monument Project. Before the county council votes on the funding, the project will first head to a committee for discussion and to finalize details. The $300,000 from the county will be part of the estimated $4 million that the project will need. (cleveland.com)
