Here are the top three stories in Strongsville today:
- The Cuyahoga County Council will not be approving the requested funding for the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center. The center requested additional funds from the council after experiencing a dramatic increase in children seeking services from the center — a 70 percent increase since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Each county council member has $6 million of discretionary spending set aside from the federal American Rescue Plan Act. Instead of funding the center, Councilman Scott Tuma wants to spend $4 million on rebuilding a Parma golf course clubhouse. (cleveland.com)
- Is the current housing market making you feel a little overwhelmed? Patch and Redfin.com have teamed up to create a helpful list of the latest Strongsville properties that have hit the market. Click to view the full list that includes prices, photos, and property dimensions. (Strongsville Patch)
- The Strongsville VFW Auxiliary Garage Sale will be held from Jun. 22 to Jun. 24 at the Post on Strongsville Blvd. The sale will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. Proceeds from the sale will be used to help local veterans. Everyone is welcome to attend and the sale will offer a large variety of items. (City of Strongsville)
