  1. Strongsville Schools are currently working to accommodate the new Ohio law that requires diligent dyslexia screenings. The new law requires districts to train teachers in spotting dyslexia and how to intervene if a student has the learning disability. The district will be providing special reading programs for students identified with dyslexia. (cleveland.com)
  2. Cuyahoga County has received the coveted Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. The Government Finance Officers Association uses the award to recognize governments' efforts during the budgeting process. The county received the award in 2016, 2018, and 2020. The county also has a AAA rating by Standard and Poor. (Cleveland Jewish News)
  3. The Journey Center of Cuyahoga County reports more calls since the overturn of Roe v. Wade. The center has a 24-hour help hotline for victims experiencing domestic violence. Melissa Graves, the center's CEO, reports that the center works with roughly 15,000 survivors every year - but that number has risen. (News 5 Cleveland)
