Farmers Market, Election Deadline: 5 Things to Know in Strongsville This Week

1. Filing deadline looms — The last day to file to run for Strongsville School Board is Tuesday, Aug. 7.

2. The fair is here — The Cuyahoga County Fair starts Monday, Aug. 5 and runs through Aug. 11 in Berea.

3. Farmers market — The popular produce stand is back at the Communication Center parking lot, 13213 Pearl Rd., from 2-6 p.m. on Thursdays.

4. Kitten Jamboree — Berea Animal Rescue will be at Petco in Strongsville from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 with up to 30 cuddly kitties.

5. Mountain bike lessons — Beginners 14 and older (with participating adult) can learn the basics 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Cleveland Metroparks Royalview Picnic Area in Strongsville.
