2. The Strongsville area is experiencing a heat wave! The National Weather Service has issued various warnings and advisories to ensure that residents are aware of the dangers accompanying high temperatures. 3. The Ohio Casino Control Commission is officially accepting applications for companies that want to operate a sports-betting operation. Applications are being accepted until Jul. 15 for the first wave of sports-gaming licenses. Cuyahoga County will have the opportunity to receive 5 of the statewide total of 40 licenses.
