Fire At Strongsville Apartments Displaces 28 Residents

Two fires broke out this weekend at the Polo Club Apartments.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — A fire at the Polo Club Apartments on Sunday morning displaced residents in 18 units, the Strongsville Fire Department announced.

At 12:22 a.m., a resident reported seeing flames on their porch. When firefighters arrived, their attempts to extinguish the blaze were made more difficult by subzero temperatures, according to Cleveland 19.

This was the second fire at the Polo Club Apartments over the weekend. The first fire broke out on Saturday and complicated Sunday's mission. Firefighters had to use extra caution when entering the already-damaged building, Strongsville Fire Chief Jack Draves said.
