Former Governor Strickland to Speak at Rally for Teachers

Former Gov. Ted Strickland is scheduled to appear at a rally is support of striking Strongsville teachers on the Strongsville City Commons today.

The event is set for 4 p.m.

Strickland, a strong union supporter, was defeated for re-election by John Kasich in 2010.

The rally will start around 3:30 p.m., when teachers are expected to gather at Center Middle School and march to the Commons, which is at the corner of Pearl and Royalton roads, in front of the police station.

This is the fifth day of a teachers' strike in Strongsville.
