Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital To Be Built In Strongsville
A 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility will open on Pearl Road.
STRONGSVILLE, OH — A new inpatient rehab hospital will be built in Strongsville.
Encompass Health announced their plans to build a freestanding 40-bed facility in the suburb on Wednesday. A construction timeline has not yet been announced, but the hospital will be located at 19156 Pearl Road.
“We are excited to bring our rehabilitation services to Northeast Ohio, and we look forward to being a part of the leading healthcare continuum in the region,” said Troy DeDecker, president of Encompass Health’s Central region.

The Strongsville facility will help patients recovering from debilitating illnesses and injuries, including strokes and neurological disorders, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and more. There will be all-day nursing services along with physical, occupational and speech therapies to help patients.
The hospital will have private patient rooms, a therapy gym, a daily living suite, cafeteria, dining room, pharmacy and courtyard.

“The new freestanding hospital will improve patient access to rehabilitation services in the Cleveland area through coordinated and connected care that meets patients where they are in their healthcare journeys and makes a positive difference in their lives," DeDecker added in a statement.
Encompass Health currently has four inpatient facilities in Ohio and one home health location.
