  1. The Ohio General Assembly is pushing to change a state law in honor of fallen firefighter Johnny Tetrick. The proposed amendment would change the minimum penalty for aggravated vehicular homicide of a firefighter or paramedic to five years. This would match the law's punishment for killing a police officer in a similar circumstance. (WDTN.com)
  2. The St. Ignatius Wildcats won against Division II State finalist Gilmour to secure their spot as the No. 1-ranked team in the area. This win ends the first week of the cleveland.com Top 25 preseason series. (Subscription: cleveland.com)
  3. The Cleveland City Council is considering new legislation which would give certain workers paid time off to recover from domestic violence. The legislation would apply to non-union full- and part-time workers in the area. Those who qualify would be protected with up to 60 hours of paid time off. (Fox 8)
