Here are the top three stories in Strongsville today:

1. Strongville's Justin Wypasek was nominated for SBLive’s Ohio High School Athlete of the Week. The boys basketball player was nominated for the week of Jan. 29 through Feb. 4. Wypasek scored 30 points to help his team beat North Royalton 59-58. He is on the way to setting a program record for most points scored all time. (Scorebook Live)
2. The Strongsville City Council will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 21. The meeting will begin promptly at 8:00 p.m. at the city building on Royalton Road in Council Chambers. When available, the agenda for the meeting will be posted here. (The City of Strongsville)
3. A wanted man is now in custody in Cleveland after shooting the mother of his 7-year-old daughter. Joshua Lynch, 35, surrendered to police on Monday and was charged with the homicide of 34-year-old Jovon Lynch. At the time of the Feb. 8 shooting, Joshua took the child, who is his daughter. (WDTN)
