Man Carrying Rifles; Homeless Guy Told to Move On: Police Blotter
The following information was provided by the Strongsville Police Department

A man carrying two rifles on Royalton Road raised some alarm about 8:30 a.m. May 28.
Police located the man -- and solved the mystery of why he was carrying guns -- a few minutes later when he walked into the police station.
He was turning in the old rifles for destruction, a report said. They were set aside to be destroyed.
Homeless Man Back by Playground
A man who has been hanging around the library and Castletown playground area for the last week has been told to move alone.
A witness reported seeing the man again May 28, and also noticed a pile of belongings under the picnic tables.
Officers found the man by the ball fields. He said the items under the picnic tables were his.
Police asked him to leave the area.
Another Vagrant
The owner of Papa John's called police about a man hanging around the parking lot, making employees nervous about 11:30 p.m. May 29.Â
He refused to leave until the manager said he was calling the police, a report said.
Officers located him a short time later at Shurmer and Pearl. The man said he had traveled from Georgia and was headed out west.
He said he and a friend were camping in the Metroparks.
Shoplifter Flees
Police chased an alleged shoplifter from the Kohl's parking lot all the way to Parma, but the suspect wouldn't stop and eventually got away.
A report said the vehicle, occupied by two people, went north on I-71 at speeds reaching 95Â mph shortly before 6 p.m. May 28.
Middleburg Heights joined the pursuit at Bagley Road, following through moderate traffic as the vehicle headed east on I-480.
Officers lost sight at Ridge Road. A witness called later to say the car went north on State Road.
