Man Sentenced for Sex with Strongsville Teen He Met on Internet
Police said he traveled here twice to meet 15-year-old girl

An Ohio man has been sentenced to prison for having sex with a 15-year-old Strongsville girl he met online.
Judge Timothy McCormick sentenced William A. Rose, 41, of Bryan, Ohio, to a 10-year prison term on Monday for acts with the victim, who he met on the Internet through a file sharing program with chatting capabilities.

Police and prosecutors say that on Oct. 25, 2012, Rose traveled to Strongsville to meet the victim. Rose took the 15-year-old victim to an area motel where the two engaged in sexual activity.
He returned to Strongsville again on Nov. 3, where he and the victim engaged in sexual activity in his van. During the second encounter, Rose photographed the 15-year-old victim in various states of undress.

Rose pleaded guilty Feb. 20 to two counts of Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor with forfeiture specifications and one count of Illegal Use of a Minor in Nudity-Oriented Material or Performance with forfeiture specifications.
Rose faced up to 18 years in prison and will be classified as a Tier II sex offender.
The case was investigated by the Strongsville Police Department with assistance from the Bryan Police Department, the Williams County Sheriff’s Office, and the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
