Here are the top three stories today in Strongsville:

  1. Mitchell's Ice Cream in nearby Cleveland issued a voluntary recall of one of their popular flavors. The ice cream company warned consumers of an undeclared allergen in its Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup ice cream. Up to 172 pints of the ice cream potentially contain peanut butter chocolate pretzel instead – an ingredient that contains wheat. Three places in Strongsville have been included in the recall, including Rego's and Heinen's and Mitchell's Ice Cream Shop. Only people with wheat allergies will be negatively impacted by consuming the frozen dessert. (WKYC.com)
  2. In a list of some of the best places in Ohio to get Chinese food, Strongsville is right at the top. Szechuan Gourmet was ranked as a top place to dive into this delicious cuisine. Besides the Strongsville location, there is another restaurant situated in Cleveland. You can see the other top selections (plus the best items to order) on the list at the link! (NewsBreak Original)
  3. A boil alert in Strongsville has been lifted after potential water contamination. Residents on Drake Road were placed under a boil alert starting on Wednesday night and ending early Thursday morning. Water samples were taken from 40 locations throughout the advisory area to test the safety levels. Samples taken showed no pathogens present, and officials could remove the boil alert.
