The following information was provided by the Strongsville Police Department

Mailboxes, a pool and a statue were targeted by vandals in the last few days, according to police reports.
On June 17, a Plymouth Row man showed police that a three-foot statue of a golfer -- a gift from his late wife -- was snapped off at the feet and taken.
Residents on Saratoga Trail and Lexington Lane were spray-painted the same night.
Mailboxes were hit in the Pine Lakes development early June 18. A Pine Lakes Drive man heard someone riding a skateboard down the street and smashing noises about 1 a.m.
On Park View Circle, a resident heard a loud noise and looked outside to see a pickup truck backed into her driveway. A teen jumped in and it left.
She discovered later her mailbox was missing. Police said about six mailboxes were taken in the neighborhood.
And on Gate Post Road, vandals threw landscaping rocks, a picnic table and a tarp roller onto the pool cover the night of June 19.
A Little Young
Security officers at SouthPark Mall confronted two kids, ages 10 and 12, after they tried to get change for a counterfeit $5 bill June 19.
Sleepy Driver
A man waiting for a bus on Drake Road told police that for the entire hour he waited, a woman in a Jeep was asleep at the traffic light.
He called police about 5:15 a.m. after he finally decided to see if she was all right and pounded on the window. She woke up and sped away.
He did not think to get her license plate number, a report said.
Unwelcome Note
A woman went to police after finding a note on her car from someone named Jason who said he likes her looks.
Quick Work by Thief
Diners at Five Guys told police someone broke into their car and took a cell phone and iPod June 17.
By the time they reported it, they had already found the phone listed on Craigslist.com, police said.
You've Won a Grant
A Deer Path Drive resident got two calls from a man asking for information so she could receive a federal grant.
The second time, the man became aggressive and threatening when she did not provide her information, a report asid.
Police called the number the man left, but it went to a company that said they do not make calls to people.
