Murder Suspect Enters Not Guilty Plea in Shooting Death of Strongsville Woman
North Royalton man accused of shooting his 19-year-old girlfriend pleaded not guilty at his arraignment hearing March 10

NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio: A 25-year old North Royalton man has pleaded not guilty in the shooting death of his 19-year-old girlfriend, Strongsville resident Christal Shaver.
Shaver died after being shot in the neck while inside Jeffrey Greiner’s condominium nearly one month ago on February 16. According to The North Royalton Post, Greiner was handling the gun when it discharged and did not know that it was loaded at the time. He also added that Greiner and Shaver’s relationship was healthy and that the two had planned on getting married in the future.
Reports say that Greiner and Shaver were alone in the condo when the incident occurred. Neighbors were questioned if they’d heard any type of disturbance coming from Greiner’s unit before the shooting, but no one reported hearing the couple arguing.
