- A new Ohio bill that was signed into law on Friday will change election laws in the state. The bill now requires a photo ID in order to vote and reduces the delivery time for absentee ballots from 10 days to four days. Military members, including those voting in Cuyahoga County, expressed concern regarding the new law. (WTOV9)
- If you're planning to visit the Mill Stream Run Reservation program over the next few months, be aware of potential closures. Sections of the park may be closed on and off between Jan. 17 to Mar. 16 for Cleveland Metroparks' deer management program. Signs will be posted during those closures at the reservation as well as online. (Strongsville Police Department via Facebook)

- The city council of nearby Brook Park is debating on what to do with the land after tearing down the former Brook Park Memorial Elementary School building. The city received a $1.5 million grant from the county to remove the building and turn the site into a water retention basin to prevent flooding. (Cleveland.com)
