No Sympathy for Woman Burned in Drug Deal: Police Blotter
The following information was provided by the Strongsville Police Department

A woman in a wheelchair reported a robbery July 12, saying she agreed to meet a man on Pearl Road, but he took her wallet and fled in a red Chrysler.
The story wasn't as heart-wrenching as it sounded, though, according to police.
The woman later admitted she had met the man to buy marijuana. She gave him money, but he gave her something else instead.
She wanted police to get her money back, but officers declined.
She was told if she wasn't buying drugs, it wouldn't have happened.
Gunshot
A Pearl Road resident was sure he heard a gunshot about 4:30 a.m. July 14, and even identified the gun as a 9mm Beretta, a report said.
Police didn't find a gunman, but they did find a man sleeping in his car in the apartment parking lot.Â
He didn't have a good reason for being there, the report said, but he also wasn't doing anything wrong.
Yes, It's Hot, but Roll Up Your Windows
Two thefts from the SouthPark Mall parking lot were reported, both because windows were left open.
An employee put her purse in the trunk July 13, but left the window down enough so that someone could reach in and pop the truck -- which someone did.
The next day, a man left the windows in his Jeep down, and someone took his only set of keys, a report said -- although not the vehicle itself.
Mischief
Kids rang a doorbell on Stoney Point Drive and left something burning on the front steps about 12:30 a.m. July 13.
Police found it was a snake-type firework.
Speed Racer
A Donegal Lane resident had enough at 3 a.m. July 12 after someone in a loud car raced up and down the street at least seven times in a half hour.
Police sat in the area, but the car was gone.
