Old Neighbor isn't Too Neighborly; Source of 'Gunshots' Found: Police Blotter

A Niagara Drive resident told police an old neighbor stayed over at her house last weekend.
When she got up the next morning, the woman was gone -- and so was a computer, XBox, iPad and tablet computer.

The woman didn't report the items stolen for a few days because she wanted to make sure the items hadn't been moved by family members.
Gunfire Reported

A Deerfield Drive resident reported hearing multiple gunshots, coming in bursts, from the end of the street about 7 p.m. April 22.
Police found the source of the noise -- a hammer and nails.
A Place of Her Own
Employees at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center reported someone in a beat-up former police car driving around the lot around 9 p.m. April 25, pulling in and out of spaces.
Police spoke with the driver, who said she was homeless and looking for a place to stay the night.
She agreed to relocate.
Smoking Together
A small group of women were found at a table by the Castletown playground smoking a hookah about 6:15 p.m. April 22.
They were advised of a complaint and said they would leave the area.
Kids and Guns
A man complained that about five third-graders were playing with Air Soft guns on Hawks Lookout and Rabbit Run about 4:30 p.m. April 23, and tried to shoot him with the pellets.
Police took a report, which said the parents want the guns destroyed.
Theft from Home
An Abigail Lane woman told police she noticed a $900 digital camera missing last week, then discovered a $300 pair of boots gone a few days later.
The only people in the house were contractors, she said.
A report said the workers all denied any knowledge of the missing items. However the company owner said he felt bad for her loss and wrote her a check for $1,200, the report said.
