Something Dead in Truck; Strange Phone Message: Police Blotter
The following information was provided by the Strongsville Police Department

A passerby reported a suspicious situation on Royalton Road July 28 after walking by a pickup truck and noting a very foul-smelling bag in the back.
It smelled like something dead was in the bag, a report said.
It was — dead grass. Police said the black bag was full of grass clippings.
No, It's Not a Threat
A Baywood Lane resident got concerned after finding a message on the answering machine that said "die."
Police said that wasn't actually the case. The machine cut off part of "good-bye," making it sound like a threat.
Theft from Auto
Someone stole a radar detector from an unlocked car on Hawks Lookout about 1 a.m. July 26.
Harassed by Elderly Females
A woman told police she became friends with two older women while working at Walmart.
She now wants to end the friendship, but they keep calling her and coming to her new workplace.
An officer called one of the women and told her to stop contacting her one-time friend. The woman said she would comply.
Window Shatters
A Lorraine Drive woman heard a big boom about 2:30 a.m. July 28 and found her bathroom window shattered.
Police couldn't explain how the outer pane broke. They found no one in the area.
Fox Visit
A Moss Point Road resident reported a sick fox hanging around the house for two days July 27.
Police said the fox wasn't sick, but asked the animal warden to contact the residents about removing it.
