Here are the top three stories today in Strongsville:

  1. A pair of Strongsville-born brothers will face off in a hockey matchup tomorrow, Feb. 18. Tyler and Dylan Duke, born just 16 months apart, have always enjoyed a competitive but close loving relationship. Tomorrow (Saturday, Feb. 18), the brothers will be competing on opposing teams in the "Faceoff on the Lake" at FirstEnergy Stadium — Tyler as a Buckeye, and Dylan as a Wolverine. (OSU - The Lantern)
  2. A Strongsville dentist has been sentenced to four years in federal prison for tax evasion after attempting to hide his ownership of a house in Columbia Township to avoid paying taxes. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Ohio reported that 68-year-old Douglas Smith received his sentence on Feb. 7. In addition to a prison sentence, Smith was ordered to pay $727,000 restitution and a $19,000 fine for criminal contempt. The dentist reportedly identified as a "sovereign citizen." (The Chronicle)
  3. The Northern Ohio Doll & Bear Show is coming to Strongsville next Sunday, Feb. 26. From 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Best Western Plus, attendees can explore 150 tables of antique and vintage dolls and bears, as well as other toys, supplies, and accessories. Tickets for adults are $6; children can join free of cost. (AllEvents)
