STRONGSVILLE, OH — Strongsville's Jill Bush is the Ohio School Bus Driver of the Year.

Bush has been a school bus driver for the Strongsville Schools since 2008. The Ohio Association for Pupil Transportation (OAPT) voted her the George Sontag, Jr. School Bus Driver of the Year last week, noting she exhibited outstanding leadership and professional conduct.

“I am so honored to receive the George Sontag, Jr. Award. I especially need to make everyone aware that if it weren’t for the fabulous team in the Strongsville City Schools transportation department, this couldn’t have happened for me. I love my students and my job — thank you so much for this recognition,” Bush said.
