The big news around the country this morning is that AOL, the parent company of Patch.com, has purchased the popular online news site Huffington Post.

The Twinsburg Patch is one of almost 800 hyper-local news websites around the country operated by Patch. In the next few days you may read or hear plenty of information, much of which may be inaccurate, about what this will mean for local Patch sites.

The purchase of Huffington Post will likely have no direct impact on sites like Twinsburg Patch, but as of yet we can't say anything with 100 percent certainty.
