• New AI system takes Akron's non-emergency calls (spectrumnews1.com) — If you live in Twinsburg Township, your 911 calls are handled through the Summit Emergency Communications Center, which is funded in part by countywide 911 fees. Akron has just added an AI assistant named Ava to take non-emergency calls, freeing human dispatchers to focus on true emergencies and improving response times across the regional system that serves multiple Summit County communities.
