New England Patriots' Zoltan Mesko Honored for Community Service

The Twinsburg grad is doing well in the NFL and looking after his local community

Β grad Zoltan Mesko is living the life of a NFL punter with the New England Patriots, but he's also serving the Foxborough, MA community.

The Providence Journal reported that Mesko was the recipient of theΒ New England Patriots' Ron Burton Community Service Award Monday night.

"Mesko has taken part in numerous events, including spending time at the Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence and helping build a playground in Providence last summer," the article said.

Mesko, who earned Northeast Ohio Inland All-District Division II honors at Twinsburg High in 2003, played at Michigan in college and even made a with the Patriots last season.

β€œI’m humbled to be a little grain of salt in the deal,” Mesko told the Providence Journal. β€œThe stage we are put on, we have this social responsibility as athletes to give back."
