In the past, the summer concert series started out with small concerts in Twinsburg square and steadily grew over time. The first official Rock the Park season at Perici Ampitheatre took place five years ago and featured a concert benefiting Twinsburg Police Officer Joshua Miktarian, who was killed in the line of duty.

Friday's lineup includes opening act singer and songwriter James Wailani when doors open at 7 p.m. with Breakfast Club taking the stage at 8 p.m.

Forecast: The National Weather Service predicts great weather but the chance of thunderstorms increases later at night.
