5 Upcoming Events at the Westlake Porter Public Library
It's a busy week at the Westlake Porter Library.

Ranked as one of the nation's top libraries, the Westlake Porter Library continuously offers programs to the public. Here are five upcoming events:Â
- Monday, July 29 (6-8 p.m.) Friends’ Annual Ice Cream Social: Join the Friends of Porter Public Library for ice cream sundaes and family fun.
- Tuesday, July 30 (1-7 p.m.) American Red Cross Bloodmobile
- Tuesday, July 30 (6-7 p.m.) Candy Wrapper Totes & Wallets: Learn how to transform candy wrappers and duct tape into bags and wallets! Grades 5-8. Registration begins July 23.
- Tuesday, July 30 (7-8:30 p.m.) Civil War 150 Reading and Discussion Group: Read the material provided by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History (access it through the library’s website) and join in a discussion about it. Please register.
- Wednesday, July 31 (7-8:30 p.m.)Â UFOs: Unexplained Encounters:Â Thomas Wertman of MUFON Ohio and the Cleveland Ufology project returns to discuss unexplained sightings and encounters of the third kind. Doors open at 6:30. Please register starting July 1.
