BMW Lands In Snowbank In Westlake, Driver Intoxicated: PD

The driver blew 4.5 times over the legal limit for alcohol on his breath, police said.

WESTLAKE, OH — A BMW spun out on I-90, near Crocker Road, on Monday night. The driver later tested 4.5 times over the legal limit for alcohol on his breath, police said.

At 8 p.m. on Monday, a driver flagged down Westlake police and told them a car spun out near Crocker Road. When officers arrived, several good Samaritans were attempting to push a BMW out of a snow bank.

The BMW's driver was a 40-year-old North Olmsted man. According to police, the man was driving alone but only had a temporary permit. He was field tested and then taken into custody for operating a vehicle impaired.

The BMW was eventually towed out of the snowbank.

The 40-year-old was taken to Westlake Jail. Police said the man blew 4.5 times over the legal limit for blood-alcohol. The man was also cited for having an open container of alcohol in his BMW, police said.
