Download your school's supply list and head to the store to take advantage of Ohio's tax holiday this weekend.
Back-to-school shoppers will get a break this weekend. Ohio's sales tax holiday begins on Friday, August 5 at 12:00 a.m. and runs until Sunday, August 7 at 11:59 p.m. The tax exemption applies to clothing and footwear up to $75 per item and school supplies and instructional materials up to $20 per item.
Items used in a trade or business, however, are not exempt under the sales tax holiday. A list of all eligible items and answers to frequently asked questions can be found online at www.tax.ohio.gov Ohio Sales Tax Holiday FAQ's page.
