Driver Loses Control Of Car, Hits Tree In Westlake

Police said the driver was not hurt. Investigators do not believe alcohol played a role in the crash.

WESTLAKE, OH — A sedan crashed into a tree near I-90 west and Crocker Road in Westlake, police announced.

The accident happened at 7 a.m. on Jan. 11. The car went off the roadway and into the treeline of I-90 west. Several people witnessed the crash and called 911.

When police arrived, they confirmed the driver was not badly hurt and then investigated what caused the accident.

According to police, the sedan changed lanes on I-90 and hit a semi-truck from behind. The driver then lost control of the vehicle and rolled into the trees.

Alcohol was not a suspected factor in the crash, investigators aid.
