
Elliott C. Mally, 98, of Westlake died peacefully Saturday at West Bay Health Center.
Mally lived in Bay Village for 65 years before moving to Westlake in 2009.
Mally was bornย January 25, 1914 in Cleveland to the lateย Charles and Emma (Hurt) Mally.ย As a young man, he was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America, earning the rank of Eagle Scout and going on to volunteer as a scout leader.

He graduated in 1939 from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dairy Technology. After working a short time in the dairy industry, ย Mally worked in natural gas. He was a sales engineer for various companies including Petrol Valve, Bryant and Maxitrol, retiring in 1980.
After retirement, he worked as a licensed realtor.ย

Mallyย built the family home in Bay Village, enjoyed traveling extensively with his wife Christine and loved spending time at a horse farm in Tennessee. And he was a die-hard Ohio State Buckeye.ย
He was involved in the community as an election poll worker, and was an active member of St. Raphael Church in Bay Village as part of the building committee and an usher. As a member of Holy Spirit Church, Avon Lake he remained active in church life as an usher and president of the men's group.
Mally was a member of the Bay Village bowling league. He was also a member of the American Gas Association and the American Association of Retired People, where he assisted seniors each year with their tax returns.
Mally is survived byย survived by his wife of 25 years Christine (Mizerock); daughters Patricia Lucas (Stanley) of Brunswick, Kathleen Petrill (Dale) of Wellington and Joanne Beck of North Port, FL; stepchildren Monica Garran of Strongsville and Donald Struk of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren Gerri, Richard, Carolyn, Stephen, Laura, Charlene, Michele, Matthew, Denise, Tamara, Dion and Mike; and great-grandchildren Josh, Sarah, Kyle, Jonah, Cole, Courtney, Garret, Ethan, Jack, Nate, Anthony, Emily, Jason, Hannah, Christine, Stephen, Marc, Carolyn, Christopher, Jonathon and Justin.
His is preceded in death by his parents, first wife of 35 years Dorothy (Zemek), who passed away in 1972, and brothers Clayton and Elmer.
Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at in Avon.ย A prayer service will be at the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at ย followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Raphael Church, 525 Dover Center Road, Bay Village, at 10:30am.ย Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery,ย 14609 Brookpark Road, Brookpark.
