Who is this Lady? Take Historical Society's Docent Training to Find Out
Hint: A well-known Westlake house is named after her family.
The Westlake Historical Society will offer a training workshop for volunteers of all agesย interested in becoming docents for itsย Clague House Museum andย historic sites tour.
What is a docent? A docent is a person who acts as a guide, usually a volunteer, basis, in a museum, art gallery, or zoo.
Docent volunteers receive an overview ofย Westlake history from the community'sย foundingย through present day, covering a number of themes and events.ย ย

โDuring the training we will introduce youย to the people who onceย calledย Westlake home,โ Historical Society President Lysa Stanton said. โThe training is meant to be an introduction to our rich history
The trained docents will be asked to make a commitment of helping with at leastย two tours or open house events per year.

The dates for the workshops are Thursday, April 4, from 6 p.m. โ 9 p.m. or Saturday, April 6, from 9 a.m. - noon.ย Continental breakfast and light supper will alsoย be provided.
The docent-training workshop is free.ย Prospective docents should contact Dave Pfister or Lysa Stanton to sign up for theย training. Enrollment is limited, and advance registration is required by April 4.ย
