Position: Crossing Guard

Department: City of Westlake Police Department

Salary Range: $10.21- $17.49 per hour

Position Type: Seasonal

Job Description

The City of Westlake has an immediate opening for a school crossing guard. Must be able to work 1.5 hours prior to the start of school and 1.5 hours at dismissal time. Applicants must pass a background check and a drug screening.

Duties

Oversees the safe and efficient crossing of school children at marked intersections during school opening and closing hours

Requirements

• Must possess keen sense of observation and be able to react quickly.
• Able to stand for up to 1 ½ hours in all weather conditions.
• Must be available on short notice and have transportation to the work site.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
