Westlake City Council Swears-In New, Returning Members

City officials also certified Mayor Dennis Clough this week.

WESTLAKE, OH — Westlake City Council welcomed its returning and new members this week.

During the meeting, attendees witnessed the swearing-in of newly-elected President of Council David S. Greenspan and newly-elected councilpersons Duane Van Dyke, from Ward 1, and Amy G. Havelka, from Ward 5.

Returning city councilpersons were also sworn-in during the ceremony, including, Nick C. Nunnari, from Ward 2, Dennis J. Sullivan, from Ward 3, Michael F. O'Donnell, from Ward 4, and Mark R. Getsay, from Ward 6.

Clerk of Council Denise L. Rosenbaum and Law Director Michael P. Maloney were also sworn-in.

During the meeting, Greenspan named the standing committees and appointed Van Dyke to be city council's representative to the Westlake Planning Commission.

Mayor Dennis Clough was previously and formally sworn-in for this 10th term on Dec. 30 in a ceremony led by Gov. Mike DeWine in Columbus. Judge Shannon Gallagher administered the oath of office on Jan. 1. Finally, he was officially certified during Monday's meeting.
