Westlake Grad Doesn't Reel In the Big One on 'Shark Tank'

Entrepreneur Aaron LeMieux had a brilliant idea but โthe Sharksโ werenโt biting.
The Westlake High School grad had the chance of a lifetime to present his product, โnPower PEGโ in an episode of Shark Tank that aired April 26.
LeMieuxย wanted $2 million for a 22 percent stake in the company.

nPower PEG is a device that harnesses the energy from the human walking motion to power devices such as iPads and cell phones.
โ(Itโs) The worldโs first human powered charger for electronic devices,โ LeMieux said of the patented item on the show.

Shark Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, asked how many units were sold and how the product would change the world.
ย โWeโve sold 1,300 up until this point,โ LeMieux answered.
โ(Itโs) The worldโs first human powered charger for electronic devices,โ LeMieux said on the show.
LeMieux said the product could generate energy from waves.
Loriย Greiner called the idea โbrilliantโ but said it wasnโt the type of product she sold.
Perennial bad guy Kevin OโLeary almost took the bait.
โI think itโs very interesting technology,โ O'Leary said, adding it would be a better solution than coal. โI canโt play because it will cost me $2 million to work for you.โ
โSomethingโs got to change,โย Shark Robertย Herjavec said. โThis could be part of the answerโฆbut Iโm not making the connection. Iโm out.โ
Despite, after LeMieux was leaving the stage, the Sharks remained complimentary.
โI think heโs got something there,โ OโLeary said.
