Westlake Police: Run and You'll Just Go to Jail Tired
Pair runs from officers, goes to jail anyway
Westlake Police will tell you, โRun, and youโll just go to jail tired.โTwo Brunswick residents (20-year-old male and 18-year-old female) ran from investigating officers at a Bradley Road home on April 23 soon after noon.
The property owner had called Westlake Police earlier about damage done to the garage by a 2003 Ford minivan the night before. That van turned out to have been stolen in Brunswick; it was impounded and since no one answered the door, a watch was set over the house.
Both suspects were captured nearby. Both were charged with RSP-Motor Vehicle and Obstructing Official Business, as well as Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (marijuana pipe, scale, rolling papers)

On April 23, a Halsted Lane man reported that he had given a 37-year-old Lorain man $3000 back on April 1 to buy a car in NY. They would then sell it here at a tidy profit. The Lorain man has not purchased any car, given the Westlake man his money back, or returned the Westlake manโs calls. The Lorain man claims that he broke off the deal and returned the money.
