Westlake School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

WESTLAKE, OH — The first day of school in Westlake is August 22 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Westlake School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/28: First Day of School (Kindergarten)

September

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)

October

• 10/12: No School (NEOEA Day)
• 10/16: Evening Parent Teacher Conference (WHS)
• 10/25: Evening Parent Conference (WHS)
• 10/26: No School (Teacher Work Day)

November

• 11/15: Evening Parent Conference (Grades K-8)
• 11/19: Evening Parent Conference (Grades K-8)
• 11/20: No School for Students/Parent Teacher Conferences (Grades K-8)
• 11/21 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1 - 1/4: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/18: No School (Staff Records Day)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/13: No School/Parent Teacher Conference (WHS Only)
• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/29: No School (Teacher Work Day)

April

• 4/19 - 4/26: No School (Spring Recess)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

• 6/5: Last Day of School
