Oklahoma Inmates Escape Choctaw County Jail To See Girlfriends: Authorities

Harley Davidson and Rakeem Lennox waited for jail staff to leave an area near their room Wednesday night, the Choctaw County sheriff said.

HUGO, OK — Two inmates who were jailed on drug charges escaped the Choctaw County jail in Hugo, Oklahoma, to see their girlfriends and smoke pot, then later walked back to the jail, the county sheriff said.

Inmates Harley Davidson and Rakeem Lennox waited for jail staff to leave the area near their room about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Choctaw County Sheriff Terry Park told The Oklahoman. The men then stole a laundry room door key in the booking room and fled.

They returned to the county jail on foot after midnight and could face additional charges, the sheriff said.
