Oklahoma Police Shooting: 7 Chickasha Officers Hurt In Shootout
Police initially said two officers were hurt Sunday while trying to serve a search warrant stemming from a kidnapping attempt.

CHICKASHA, OK — A shootout between police and a gunman inside a Chickasha house Sunday left seven officers hurt, police now say, and one officer is still in a hospital.
Police initially said two officers were hurt Sunday while trying to serve a search warrant stemming from a kidnapping attempt in Chickasha, about 40 miles southwest of Oklahoma City.
The suspect opened fire from inside a home and seven officers were injured, though most were treated at the scene, Police Chief Goebel Music said Tuesday. One officer remains hospitalized with injuries to his right arm, Music said.

Suspect Alex Warren Klingler, 61, remains jailed on complaints of kidnapping, assault and battery and shooting with intent to kill. Jail records don't list an attorney for him.
