- Oklahoma City police officers, firefighters and organizations honored 9/11 victims with a memorial stair climb on Saturday. Participants climbed up 110 flights — the same number of stories as the World Trade Center. The event paid tribute to the first responders and civilians who lost their lives in the terrorist attack. - Will Rogers World Airport unveiled its latest expansion on Friday. The $87 million expansion adds more than 133,000 square feet to the airport terminal, as well as new concessions, amenities and retail stores. Mayor David Holt stated that the project is about improving the traveler experience and creating a memorable first impression of Oklahoma City. (KOCO Oklahoma City)
- From September 14 through September 18, the Oklahoma History Center will be hosting the Mayan Art Exhibit and Guatemalan Cultural Celebration during Hispanic Heritage Month. (The City Sentinel)
