  1. The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board rejected clemency for death row inmate John Grant. The board voted 3-2 against clemency on Tuesday and will put Grant to death at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester on Oct. 28, the state's first execution since 2015. Grant has been on death row since 1998 for the killing of an Oklahoma corrections center employee. (KOCO Oklahoma City)
  2. An Oklahoma City woman was arrested after a child was found living in ‘deplorable’ conditions. Oklahoma City police were called to a home near S.E. 48th St. and Eastern Ave. to check on the welfare of a child, and were met by the 4-year-old who said he was home alone. Authorities arrested the boy's mother, Chaslyn Slayton, on a complaint of child neglect. (KFOR Oklahoma City)
  3. An Oklahoma City police car caught fire after a crash with an EMSA ambulance on Tuesday near Interstate 44 and NW 10th St. (news9.com KWTV)
