  1. A Colorado woman was caught shipping drugs into the Oklahoma County Detention Center (OCDC) for one of the inmates. According to an affidavit, the woman was shipping meth, marijuana, heroin, and tobacco to inmate Benjamin Franklin Rhodes. On three separate occasions, police say employees in the mailroom at the OCDC noticed something strange about the packages, which were all marked "Legal Mail" — yet, the listed law firms had no clients in Oklahoma County. Due to their suspicions, employees opened one package, where they found various drugs. (KOKH FOX25)
  2. An Oklahoma City women's clinic sees an influx of patients seeking abortion as Texas' strict law goes into effect. Staff at the Trust Women clinic in OKC reported that in the days leading up to the law’s passing, they were scheduling nearly five times their usual number of patients. Though the clinic was able to anticipate an increase in abortion requests and has tried to accommodate as many as possible, it has decided to cap appointments. (KOCO Oklahoma City)
  3. Oklahoma City police are mourning the sudden passing of Master Sergeant Tomas Daugherty. (KFOR Oklahoma City)
  4. Multiple fights broke out at Frontier City's Fright Fest over the weekend, causing the park to close early on Saturday. (news9.com KWTV)
  5. On the heels of CDC approval, the Oklahoma City-County Health Department has begun administering COVID-19 booster shots to eligible individuals. (News On 6)
